Dodo London opens with some Help from Central Saint Martins

Dodo, the Italian charm brand par excellence, unveils its new wondrous flagship store in Sloane Square.

The façade of the building holds a large semi-circle arch encased in crystal and covered in a fresh green silicone lawn providing a unique contrast with the windows adorned in Venetian blue Klein mosaic.

As you walk through its impressive doors, you enter the enchanting world of Dodo: charms that speak their own language – one of warmth, friendship and the love of nature.

With unusual shapes to feel, different materials to touch, bright colours to feast the eyes upon, entering the Land of Dodo is a totally sensory experience that will evoke all sorts of wonderful emotions.

Designed by internationally renowned architect Paola Navone, celebrated for her anti-conformist, colourful and expressive style, the building is a contemporary and sophisticated design with an organic architectural twist: entering the store on a bed of pebbles, grass growing from the ceiling and walls covered with what looks like hand-smoothed wet sand. The jewels are encased in fiery metal dressers around which are low poufs and bistro-esque tables and a long red organic leather bench. The atmosphere is unmistakeably chic yet relaxed, where customers can browse and create their own bespoke Dodo jewellery at a leisurely pace.

The basement will be the creative outlet of the store with many different occasions to be hosted there, ranging from private events, exclusive exhibitions and many more – as yet – top secret projects.

“The opening of the Dodo store in London is a key and strategic step in the process of the internationalization of the Dodo brand. London has become a truly international city and perhaps one of the best platforms in the world from where to commence a serious global expansion”, says Andrea Morante, CEO of the Pomellato Group.
