Temperley

This flower from Somerset has truly blossomed. Launching the ultra-successful Temperley in 2000 which is now a vast fashion house empire. Notoriously famous for the ethereal West London English rose. Originally a Temperley girl would be floating back and forth between the countryside and London parties but as the brand matured it has been in constant transition. The Temperley girl is now more theatrical outgoing and even dresses in leather.
The collections have taken on a more dramatic tone for example the magnificent digital installation of her collections in Summer/Spring 2010 called the circus Zoetrope. Alice has opened boutiques all around the world and is in high demand even conquering the elusive European market. Temperley has a high profile following including Kiera Knightly, Reese Witherspoon, Emma Watson and Scarlett Johansson among many others. Temperley is famed principally for its exquisite and intricate frocks.
Alice began by cutting her mother’s 1920′s lamp shades to make accessories as a child, and as a teenager she always had an individual style that stood out. Alice graduated from London’s prestigious Central St Martins and the Royal College of Art before embarking on the creation of her own label. Alice is incredibly proud of her Britishness and is a strong supporter of the British fashion industry, and a great fan of Portobello road.
Each season takes on new twists and turns following Alice through a multitude of different environments, from Mexico to the Far East to the Vintage markets of London and Paris. The label has matured into a spectacular extravaganza of shape and style achieved by unbelievable detailed hand stitching and attention to detail. Alice is a work hard, play hard character within the industry throwing magnificent parties. Ever the discerning night owl Alice was famed for her infinite capacity for drinks and late nights until baby Fox arrived in 2008.
The company now sells products in 220 stockists in over 35 countries. Temperley has its very own boutiques in New York, L.A, Dubai and Notting Hill London, producing four collections a year including a massively popular ready-to-wear line. Plus a diffusion line called Alice by Temperley launched in 2010 which definitely rebels against her sister. The line is more an embodiment of street style.
Bespoke banter congratulates Temperley for passing its tenth anniversary a massive milestone in any business long may the success continue.
